But you need to make a Home Depot run:

Engage “Truck Mode”

Kinja'd!!!

Looks like I need to clean the floor again too. :/

That appears to still be in van mode.

You’ll need more sawzall for truck mode

Still too many seats. How are you gonna get a sheet of plywood in there?

Kids had to come too. ;)

As much as I hate people cutting up these vans, this one is very well executed.

3-mil plastic sheeting is your best friend (or 5-mil if you’re Fancy) . When done, shake it off, fold it up, and place it in the nearest cubby.

When I worked at Chrysler the older guys told me they use to send engineers out to parking lots to see how people were using their mini-vans. Seeing people cram all sorts of crap into them is one reason why the newer vans are large enough to fit a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood with the seats out, it was laid out as a design criteria.

Yea it really is.  I thought it was featured on Jalopnik at one point but can’t seem to find it, I know I’ve seen it before though online somewhere.

The Grand vans can fit an 8' sheet in the back with the seats out in the older years as well.

We picked up a dozen 2x4s, an AC unit, and 3 bundles of shingles on this trip, all with the wife and kids.

I usually remove the middle row, then slide the rear bench forward.

You get amazing leg room and roughly a short bed truck’s worth of space.

I usually try not to carry anything too dirty, but I have a large tarp for the random times we’ve gotten a load of mulch or black dirt.

Honestly the back is just dirty because I haven’t cleaned back there since last fall, it’s just dirt and stuff off people’s shoes.

She’ll get a good scrubbing again once I get the HGs fixed.

Can’t remove all the seats and take the kids.........I can’t haul full sheets anyway, she’s a shorty.

I've hauled engines in the back of my mom's Sienna. Needless to say the carpet back there is ruined.

I’ve hauled engines and transmissions in the back of mine. I just put down a tarp or some plastic before I load it up. So far, I’ve never had anything make a mess back there.
